Absentee Ballot FAQs!

See below for some frequently asked questions & answers about how to vote in the upcoming election via absentee ballot. To see a list of our endorsed candidates, click here!

How can I get an absentee ballot application?

All registered voters will receive an absentee ballot application in the mail. If you registered to vote after August 26, or if you are currently out of state, you can download an absentee ballot application here. Please don’t send in more than one application.

Where can I return my absentee ballot application?

Stamford has four drop boxes located at: 

  1. Stamford Government Center parking garage (888 Washington Boulevard)
  2. Next to the book return at the Harry Bennett Library (115 Vine Road)
  3. Yerwood Center (90 Fairfield Avenue)
  4. Lathon Wider Community Center (34 Woodland Avenue)

If you are returning your application by mail, please allow a few extra days for postal delivery.

When will I get my ballot?

Ballots will be sent out starting October 2nd.

Once I receive my ballot and fill it out where can I return the ballot?

You can return your ballot at one of the ballot drop boxes located below: 

  1. Stamford Government Center parking garage (888 Washington Boulevard)
  2. Next to the book return at the Harry Bennett Library (115 Vine Road)
  3. Yerwood Center (90 Fairfield Avenue)
  4. Lathon Wider Community Center (34 Woodland Avenue)

If you are returning your ballot via mail, it must be received by 8 p.m., on November 3.

What’s the last time to drop off my ballot?

The final collection of ballots from the drop boxes is 8 p.m., on Election Day; it is recommended that you drop off your ballot earlier, if possible. Allow more time if you use the postal services.
