Upcoming Special Election for the 145th House District!

On Tuesday, April 27 there will be a special election to fill the 145th house district seat, formerly held by Pat Billie Miller. Corey Paris is the endorsed Democratic candidate and we are working hard to ensure he gets elected.

If you live in the 145th house district, you will be able to vote by absentee ballot or in-person on Election Day. More information on voting can be found below.

Voting by Absentee Ballot

Pursuant to Executive Order 10E, no-excuse absentee ballot voting due to the COVID-19 pandemic has been extended. If you need to vote by absentee ballot, please click here to download the absentee ballot application. When filling out the application, make sure to complete the following:

  1. Section 1 – Fill out your contact information
  2. Section 2 – Check off the reason you are voting by absentee ballot (all voters are eligible to check off “COVID-19”)
  3. Section 3 – Sign and date the application

There is an official drop box located at the Stamford Government Center parking garage (888 Washington Boulevard) where you can drop off your application and absentee ballot.

If needed, you can pick up a ballot at the Town Clerk’s office by making an appointment and bringing your completed absentee application with you. Email townclerk@stamfordct.gov or call 203-977-5280 to schedule.

If you return your application by mail, please allow a few extra days for postal delivery.

Voting in-person

Polling locations in the 145th house district are listed below:

  • District 9 – Salvation Army Community Center (175 Selleck Street)
  • District 10 – Westover School (412 Stillwater Avenue)
  • District 11 – Cloonan Middle School (11 Powell Place)
