
On Tuesday, February 28 there will be a special election to fill the 148th house district seat, formerly held by Dan Fox. Anabel Figueroa is the endorsed Democratic candidate. To learn more about Anabel Figueroa click here.
If you live in the 148th house district, you will be able to vote in-person on Election Day or by absentee ballot. Absentee ballots are now available in the Town Clerk’s office, see more details below.
Voting in-person
Polling locations in the 148th house district are listed below, same locations as you voted in November:
- District 2 – Domus (15 Frank Street Entrance)
- District 3 – KT Murphy (38 George Street Entrance)
- District 5 – Stamford High School (84 Hillandale Ave. Entrance)
- District 6 – St. Bridget School (278 Strawberry Hill Ave.)
- District 23 – St. Bridget School (278 Strawberry Hill Ave.)

Voting by Absentee Ballot
If you need to vote by absentee ballot, you may apply online here or click here to download the absentee ballot application. You can also contact the Town Clerk’s office at townclerk@stamfordct.gov or call 203-977-5280 to request an application. More information can be found here. When filling out the application, make sure to complete the following:
- Section I – Fill out your contact information
- Section II – Check how you will receive the absentee ballot (in person or by mail)
- Section III – Check off Election Date of 2/28/23
- Section IV – Check off the reason you are voting by absentee ballot
- Section VI – Sign and date the application
Once complete return it via one of the three options below:
1. Place it in a drop box at the Government Center parking garage (888 Washington Boulevard) or the Harry Bennett Library next to the outdoor book drop (115 Vine Road)
2. Bring your application to the Town Clerk’s office Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm or Saturday, February 25 from 9:00 am to12:00 noon and fill out a ballot and vote!
3. Mail your completed and signed application to:

Once the Town Clerk receives your application, you will be sent an absentee ballot. As soon as it arrives, fill out your ballot and please vote for the endorsed Democrat on Row A. Place your ballot in the inner envelope, sign the inner envelope, place the inner envelope in the outer envelope, and return it via the drop box or mail it back to the Town Clerk’s office. Your absentee ballot MUST BE RECEIVED by the Town Clerk no later than 8:00 pm on Election Day – Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
