Important Deadline for the November Election! If your voter registration application is submitted on or after October 19 through voterregistration.ct.gov, it will not take effect until after the November general election. However, you may still register to vote in person with your local Registrar of Voters or through Same-Day Voter Registration. If the online 11:59 PM deadline of 10/18 is missed, and you cannot come to same day registration at Early Voting or on Election Day, you cannot register to vote in time for the 11/3 election.
Any applications submitted after 11:59 PM on 10/18 through the portal, or end of business at the DMV on 10/17, will not be accepted until after the 11/3 election.
Electors who become 18 years of age, U.S. citizens, or residents of the municipality after 10/16 have a limited registration in-person opportunity on 11/2 from 9am to 5pm in the Registrars office, but that is specific to those 3 reasons only, not general registration.
